Catarata La Fortuna

One of the things on Libby´s to do list while here in Costa Rica was to see a waterfall. Just outside of La Fortuna, we found the perfect one to visit.

While the view from the top was pretty impressive in and of itself, the hike down took it to the next level.We picked our way down three hundred some damp, steep, stairs down to the bottom, wonderfully rewarded by the view we found. A narrow strip of water throws itself over a rocky cliff and into a deep turquoise, perfectly round pool below. All around, thick green jungle.
